Accelerating an HR Operations Buildout in Financial Services

November 11, 2022 Rachel Halversen

A large global asset management company had recently spun off from an F50 financial services firm. To support the buildout of a standalone HR function, the company’s CHRO was seeking an independent talent who could support the Global Head of HR Operations with numerous critical initiatives around improved governance, regulatory controls and HR compliance operations, people data analytics and HRIS, recruiting operations, and employee queries, among others. To ensure the talent would be able to rapidly execute on these critical priorities, the CHRO was seeking a candidate with specific experience leading HR operations within the financial services industry, as well as a demonstrated history of driving improvements related to process, people, and technology within a global HR team.

BTG paired the client with the former Head of HR operations at SoftBank Group International to act as the right hand to the Global Head of HR Operations to help accelerate the HR Ops buildout. The talent successfully executed on existing priorities for improvement, efficiency, and optimization within HR operations, while also using their knowledge of industry and functional best practices to zero in on opportunities to create best-in-class people operations.
