Clinical Digital Strategy and Technology Market Landscape

A global pharma company had multiple early phase assets in the pipeline. While developing the commercial strategy in parallel, the business acceleration team wanted to understand potential digital capabilities across the R&D and clinical value chain and which technologies would apply in the respective development areas.

Business Talent Group (BTG) assembled and supplied a two-person team consisting of a former McKinsey consultant, digital health CEO, and physician with extensive experience performing digital health landscapes across the pharma value chain, paired with a junior consultant for story boarding, data analysis, and PM support. The consultant team performed an assessment of the client’s current capabilities and goals as well as a market landscape and prioritization of potential technologies. The five-month project concluded with the consultant team delivering recommendations for several options along with a cost/benefit analysis and high-level implementation plan for each.
