Real Estate Management Interim CFO—Old House, New Finance

A European real estate firm found the perfect CFO candidate to launch the new investment wing of their operation; unfortunately, the candidate couldn’t start for six months. The organization was coming off a significant period of growth and needed someone not only to stand up the newer business, but also to leverage assets, skills, and capital in anticipation of the new permanent CFO.

To meet the client’s highly specialized skill and experience needs, Business Talent Group (BTG) looked beyond BTG’s existing talent network to rapidly source, curate, and vet the perfect candidate capable of managing critical workstreams within the company. BTG provided a former CFO of an investment group with extensive experience in real estate and property development. Within eight days of the client contacting BTG, the new interim CFO had been placed. During his six-month tenure he was able to stand-up the CFO function, set up P&L reporting, and provide strategic and commercially informed recommendations and insights to senior leadership.
