After acquiring a fast-growing pet food company, a leading PE firm initiated a number of performance improvement projects, including a brand-new S&OP process. This work revealed a critical gap on the company’s team for a demand planning specialist. BTG deployed an inventory & supply chain specialist and former Deloitte manager, who spent four months working with the team to design improved S&OP processes. The firm exited its investment two years later with a 6.5x return on investment.
