A multi-billion-dollar grocer was struggling to fill a full-time Chief Data Officer role (a new position for the company), and this was slowing down its ability to optimize its ecommerce fulfillment network—a critical project. With the data science project back in motion, the executive team had more time and bandwidth to address long-term hiring needs, and the eventual new hire was better equipped for success.
