Healthcare Provider (HCP) Engagement Strategy

February 18, 2022 Rachel Halversen

A multinational Fortune Global 500 pharma and life sciences company sought to develop a strategic approach to healthcare provider (HCP) engagement across its consumer health portfolio. Following a shift in focus that deprioritized its HCP engagement programs, the company’s efforts in this area had become fragmented and lacking in coordination across product categories. Recognizing the important role that HCPs play in establishing scientific credentials with consumers and influencing their choice for some of the company’s key brands, the Head of Customer Excellence reached out to Business Talent Group (BTG) for help.

BTG delivered a UK-based talent—with more than 25 years of experience in strategy and transformation in the Pharmaceutical and Consumer spaces—to provide strategic insights on how the company could better understand and address HCP needs, increase recommendations of their brands, and leverage digital platforms to improve HCP engagement. In addition to these insights, the talent developed a pilot plan and process blueprints for key markets and products.
