Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory Affairs Portfolio Support

A global nonprofit was developing new initiatives focused on building pharmacovigilance systems and regulatory capacity in low and middle-income countries (LMICs). As more pharmaceutical products and technologies were being introduced directly into LMIC, and without the same safety checkpoints as high-income countries, the organization sought an experienced life science consultant to manage their portfolio of grants aimed at developing regulatory and pharmacovigilance systems.

Business Talent Group delivered a former A.T. Kearney and BearingPoint engagement manager with 20+ years of international strategy, operations, and project management experience in the pharmaceutical industry. The consultant worked on maintaining stakeholder relationships, driving key project activities and deliverables, reporting on progress internally and externally, and developing the portfolio strategy. This work supported the larger goal of establishing a centralized continental pharmacovigilance system and strengthening regulatory systems to manage the future release of genetically based vector controls.
