Targeted HR Expertise for One Part of a Larger Integration

A global pharmaceutical company acquired a large company, and though company leaders had managed smaller integrations through an integration management office (IMO), they needed broader integration support given the complexity. To divide the work clearly, they decided to carve off the HR integration consulting firm’s scope for the commercial integration and use on-demand talent through BTG instead—to get the targeted expertise needed to drive the HR integration alongside the existing HR team. BTG’s HR talent established the necessary workstreams, and when no internal expertise was available, drew on BTG’s network to supplement the client team with independent experts—bringing on nine integration professionals across the integration.
