Dynamic and Scalable Project Management Resourcing for a Clinical Transformation

January 25, 2024 Summer Foote

The clinical development group of an F500 pharma company was undergoing a transformation to improve clinical processes by eliminating waste, reducing complexity, and deliver cost savings and value creation by increasing speed to market and patient access. In need of skilled project management for the wide-reaching transformation, the team reached out to Business Talent Group (BTG) for help.

BTG created a flexible project manager resourcing model that enabled the client to deploy a customized stable of project managers against various workstreams as needs changed. Along with deploying an ex-Bain consultant to lead the initiative, the BTG talent team screened, selected, and onboarded each PM professional and provided a centralized project governance hub to report on progress and capture and share insights. On average, 5–10 consultants were engaged at any given time throughout the two-year transformation.
