A PE-backed European specialty chemicals company was seeking a transformation leader to quickly and thoroughly map out and execute the separation of a business unit, in preparation for a potential divestment. The consultant needed to have experience running similar transformation programs and therefore be equipped to run the entire transformation process while also have the background and know-how to challenge existing activities and outcomes to help push for better solutions. They would be expected to work closely with divisional leadership to ensure all changes and implementations happen quickly, efficiently, and accurately.
