Coordinating the Relocation of a Retail Distribution Center in Canada

A popular Canadian athletic apparel company was embarking on a distribution network transformation and required a strong program manager to develop and coordinate detailed plans with and across internal departments and stakeholders. This PM would specifically support the reconfiguration and relocation of key distribution centers and the opening of two new centers.

Business Talent Group (BTG) sourced a seasoned PM and certified PMP with extensive experience driving cross-functional teams and leading warehouse operations and construction management for multiple site locations. They had the risk assessment, financial simulation, conflict resolution, subcontractor management, PMO development, and stakeholder communication skills necessary to integrate effectively and make an impact quickly. The PM successfully executed the ramp down of the previous site and the ramp up of the new distribution center four months ahead of schedule and received stellar feedback for leading this critical, temporary workstream, which allowed the client’s existing team to stay focused on critical day-to-day operations.
